Why is your Tahoe stuck in park?

There are several reasons why a Tahoe might be unable to shift out of park.

- The shift lock solenoid could be faulty.

- The brake light switch could be defective.

- The transmission control module could be malfunctioning.

- The shift cable or linkage could be damaged or misadjusted.

- The Park Neutral Position (PNP) switch may be faulty.

- Low battery voltage might not provide sufficient power to the shift solenoid.

- A blown fuse or electrical issue might lead to the shifter being disabled.
