How to remove fuel pump 1993 Buick century station wagon?

Disconnect the Fuel Lines

1. Open the fuel door and remove the fuel filler cap.

2. Locate the fuel line quick-connect fittings near the fuel tank. They are usually red and blue or yellow and black.

3. Use a 5/16-inch wrench to loosen the nuts on the quick-connect fittings.

4. Disconnect the fuel lines by pushing on the quick-connect fittings and pulling them apart.

5. Allow the fuel to drain into a suitable container.

Remove the Fuel Tank Sending Unit

1. Locate the fuel tank sending unit in the fuel tank. It is usually located under the rear seat.

2. Remove the nuts or bolts that hold the sending unit in place.

3. Carefully lift the sending unit out of the fuel tank.

4. Remove the fuel pump from the sending unit.

Reinstall the Fuel Pump

1. Insert the new fuel pump into the sending unit.

2. Secure the fuel pump in place with the nuts or bolts that you removed earlier.

3. Reinstall the sending unit into the fuel tank.

4. Tighten the nuts or bolts that hold the sending unit in place.

5. Reconnect the fuel lines to the fuel tank.

6. Tighten the nuts on the quick-connect fittings.

7. Install the fuel filler cap and close the fuel door.

8. Start the vehicle and check for leaks.
