1. Drain the coolant.
- Place a drain pan under the radiator petcock, located at the bottom of the radiator on the driver's side.
- Open the petcock to drain the coolant into the drain pan.
2. Disconnect the upper and lower radiator hoses.
- Use a wrench to loosen the hose clamps on the upper and lower radiator hoses.
- Pull the hoses off of the radiator nipples.
3. Disconnect the transmission cooling lines.
- If your SVX has an automatic transmission, there will be two transmission cooling lines connected to the radiator.
- Use a wrench to loosen the flare nuts on the transmission cooling lines.
- Pull the lines off of the radiator nipples.
4. Remove the radiator mounting bolts.
- There are two radiator mounting bolts, located on the top and bottom of the radiator.
- Use a wrench to loosen the radiator mounting bolts.
5. Lift the radiator out of the vehicle.
- Once the radiator mounting bolts are removed, you can lift the radiator out of the vehicle.
6. Inspect the radiator.
- Once the radiator is removed, inspect it for any damage or leaks.
- If the radiator is damaged, you will need to replace it.
7. Reinstall the radiator.
- If the radiator is in good condition, you can reinstall it in the vehicle.
- Reverse the steps outlined above to reinstall the radiator
