Instructions:
1. Prepare the vehicle: Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake. Disconnect the negative battery cable to ensure the spark plug wires are safe to touch.
2. Raise the vehicle: Use the jack and jack stands to raise the front of the vehicle. Securely place the jack stands under the vehicle's frame.
3. Locate the spark plugs: Remove the spark plug wires by pulling on the boots. Be careful not to damage the wires or the spark plugs.
4. Loosen the oil filter: Use an oil filter wrench to loosen the oil filter but do not remove it completely.
5. Remove the oil pan: Place an oil drain pan under the oil pan. Use a screwdriver or pry bar to loosen and remove the oil pan. Be careful not to spill oil everywhere.
6. Remove the valve cover: Remove the valve cover bolts and remove the valve cover. Be careful not to damage the gasket surface on the cylinder head or valve cover.
7. Clean the surfaces: Scrape off any old gasket material from the cylinder head and valve cover mating surfaces. Make sure to clean the area thoroughly.
8. Apply sealant: Apply a thin layer of sealant to the cylinder head and valve cover mating surfaces.
9. Install the new gaskets: Place the new valve cover gaskets in place. Make sure that the gasket is properly seated and flush with the cylinder head.
10. Install the valve cover: Reinstall the valve cover and secure it with the bolts. Do not overtighten the bolts.
11. Reinstall the oil pan: Reinstall the oil pan and tighten the bolts.
12. Replace the oil filter: Remove the old oil filter and install a new one. Make sure to hand-tighten the filter until it contacts the sealing surface. Do not overtighten.
13. Reinstall the spark plug wires: Reinstall the spark plug wires in their original positions.
14. Lower the vehicle: Slowly lower the vehicle using the jack.
15. Reconnect the battery: Reconnect the negative battery cable.
16. Check the oil level: Remove the cap of the Engine Oil Cap. Use the dipstick to ensure that the oil level is correct. Add oil as necessary.
