2. Locate the oil drain plug at the bottom of the oil pan. It will usually be a 17mm bolt.
3. Place an oil pan under the drain plug to catch the draining oil.
4. Loosen the drain plug and allow the oil to drain.
5. Once the oil has drained, wipe the drain plug clean and reinstall it.
6. Move to the top of the engine and remove the engine cover.
7. Locate the oil filter housing, which will be a black cylindrical object near the top of the engine.
8. Use a socket wrench to loosen the oil filter housing and remove it.
9. Remove the old oil filter from the housing and discard it.
10. Install a new oil filter in the housing and hand-tighten it.
11. Install the oil filter housing back onto the engine and tighten it with the socket wrench.
12. Check for any leaks and add oil if necessary.
