The fuel pump in a 1997 Honda Accord is located under the back seat. To access the fuel pump, remove the back seat bottom cushions. There are two bolts that hold down the access cover to the fuel pump. Remove the bolts and lift up the cover to access the fuel pump.
Notes
* The fuel tank must be full of gas in order to remove the fuel pump.
* The fuel line connection to the fuel pump can be difficult to disconnect. Use a flare nut wrench to disconnect the fuel line.
* Be careful not to spill any fuel when disconnecting the fuel line.
