3. Connect a jumper wire between terminals TE1 and E1 of the diagnostic connector.
4. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.
5. Wait for the Check Engine light to start flashing.
6. Count the number of flashes between each pause.
7. The trouble code is a two-digit number, with the first digit indicating the tens place and the second digit indicating the ones place.
8. For example, if the Check Engine light flashes three times, then pauses, and then flashes two times, the trouble code is 32.
