1. Park your car on level ground and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood of your car.
3. Locate the brake fluid reservoir. It is usually a translucent plastic container with a black cap. It is located on the driver's side of the engine compartment, near the firewall.
4. Remove the cap from the brake fluid reservoir.
5. Check the level of the brake fluid. It should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks on the side of the reservoir.
6. If the brake fluid level is low, add enough brake fluid to bring it up to the "MAX" mark.
7. Use only DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid. Do not mix different types of brake fluid.
8. Replace the cap on the brake fluid reservoir.
