1. Turn the ignition to the "ON" position, but do not start the engine.
2. Press and hold the odometer reset button for five seconds.
3. While continuing to hold the odometer reset button, turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.
4. Release the odometer reset button and wait for the service engine light to turn off.
5. Start the engine and verify that the service engine light is off.
