Instructions
1. Park your Mazda B4000 in a safe location and turn off the engine. Allow it to cool down completely.
2. Open the hood of your Mazda B4000.
3. Locate the thermostat housing. It is located on the front of the engine, just below the upper radiator hose.
4. Disconnect the upper radiator hose from the thermostat housing.
5. Remove the two 10mm bolts that hold the thermostat housing in place.
6. Carefully pry the thermostat housing off of the engine block. Be careful not to spill any coolant.
7. Remove the old thermostat from the housing.
8. Inspect the thermostat for damage. If it is damaged, replace it with a new one.
9. Install the new thermostat in the housing.
10. Reinstall the thermostat housing on the engine block and tighten the two 12mm bolts.
11. Reconnect the upper radiator hose to the thermostat housing.
12. Fill the radiator with coolant.
13. Start the engine and allow it to warm up. Check for any leaks.
14. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down completely.
15. Recheck the coolant level and add more if necessary.
Your Mazda B4000 thermostat has now been successfully replaced.
