For vehicles equipped with manual transmission:

1. Locate the transmission.

2. Find the speedometer cable housing where it connects to the transmission.

3. Follow the cable to the speedometer sensor, which is located near the top of the transmission.

4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the speedometer sensor.

5. Unscrew the speedometer sensor from the transmission housing.

For vehicles equipped with automatic transmission:

1. Locate the transmission.

2. Find the vehicle speed sensor, which is located on the side of the transmission near the top.

3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the vehicle speed sensor.

4. Remove the bolt holding the vehicle speed sensor in place.

5. Remove the vehicle speed sensor from the transmission.
