Can diesel engine be started with CNG?
Diesel engines cannot be started with Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). Diesel engines require a high compression ratio to ignite the diesel fuel, which is relatively difficult to achieve with CNG. Additionally, diesel engines are designed to operate on diesel fuel, which has different properties than CNG. CNG is a gaseous fuel, while diesel is a liquid fuel. This difference in fuel properties means that diesel engines cannot be directly started with CNG.
