The fuel filter on a 2006 Freightliner Columbia with a Detroit 60 series engine is located in the engine compartment on the driver's side. It is mounted near the back of the engine, just above the fuel tank. The filter is a cylindrical-shaped object with a black plastic housing and a red cap. It is held in place by two metal clips and is connected to the fuel lines by two quick-release couplings.
