1. Securely lift or support the vehicle so you can stand underneath.
2. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to avoid electrical arcs or shocks.
3. Locate and remove the fuel filler cap.
4. Locate and clean the fuel line fittings.
5. Disconnect all the fuel lines connected to the fuel tank.
6. Disconnect any electrical connections or sensors that may be attached to the fuel tank.
7. Locate and remove the fuel tank straps or braces that hold the fuel tank in place.
8. Using a floor jack and block of wood, slowly and carefully lower the fuel tank. Be careful not to damage or bend the fuel lines or wiring.
9. Once you have removed the fuel tank from the vehicle, you will be able to access the fuel pump.
Note: Removing and installing a fuel pump can be a dangerous task, so it is recommended that you have it performed by a qualified technician.
