1. Tools Needed:
- Wrench set
-Ratchet
-13mm socket
-15mm socket
-Breaker bar
-New serpentine belt
Step 1: Park and Engage Emergency Brake:
Park your Sprinter on level ground and engage the emergency brake.
Step 2: Locate Serpentine Belt:
The serpentine belt is located in the engine compartment, usually running over several pulleys.
Step 3: Loosen Tensioner Pulley:
Locate the tensioner pulley which keeps the belt tight. It's usually near the top of the engine. There will be a bolt or lever to release the tension.
Step 4: Release Tensioner and Remove Old Belt:
Using the wrench or breaker bar, loosen the tensioner pulley. The old belt will become loose and can be removed by hand.
Step 5: Align New Belt:
Align the new belt with the pulleys. Start from the crankshaft pulley, then move up and wrap the belt around the other pulleys.
Step 6: Re-tighten Tensioner:
Once the new belt is aligned, re-tighten the tensioner pulley until the belt is snug. Don't overdo it, as excessive tension may wear the belt prematurely.
Step 7: Check Belt Alignment:
Ensure the belt is properly seated on all the pulleys and there is no twisting.
Step 8: Start Engine and Check Operation:
Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Listen for any unusual sounds and inspect the belt's movement. If the belt is rubbing against any surfaces or making noise, it may require further adjustment.
Step 9: Reinstall Engine Cover:
Reinstall the engine cover.

- Some Sprinter models may have additional steps or variations. If unsure, refer to your vehicle-specific service manual.
- Serpentine belt replacement intervals vary depending on the vehicle model and make; please consult your owner's manual or a trusted mechanic for specific schedules.
