1. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position, but do not start the engine.
2. Locate the "Select" button on the instrument panel, which is usually located near the odometer.
3. Press and hold the "Select" button for at least 5 seconds.
4. While continuing to hold the "Select" button, press and hold the accelerator pedal to the floor for at least 10 seconds.
5. Release both the "Select" button and the accelerator pedal.
6. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.
7. Wait for at least 10 seconds.
8. Turn the ignition key back to the "ON" position.
9. The service engine light should now be reset.
If the service engine light is still illuminated, you may need to have your vehicle diagnosed by a qualified mechanic to determine the cause of the problem.
