How do you change a brake light bulb on 2005 Nissan maxima?

Here are the steps on how to change a brake light bulb on a 2005 Nissan Maxima:

1. Park your car in a safe location and apply the parking brake.

2. Open the trunk of your car.

3. Locate the taillight assembly that contains the brake light bulb. There is a plastic "clip" that holds it in place. Use a screwdriver to pop it open.

4. Once the clip is removed, rotate the bulb housing (inside the tail light) counter-clockwise to unlock the bulb housing from the light assembly, and then pull it straight back away from the vehicle to remove it from the assembly.

5. Remove the old bulb from the socket.

6. Insert the new bulb into the socket, making sure that it is properly seated.

7. Reinstall the bulb housing by placing it back in the socket and then turning clockwise to lock it.

8. Replace the plastic clip that holds the tail light assembly in place.

9. Close the trunk lid.

10. Turn on your hazard lights or test the brake light to make sure it is working properly.
