2. Locate the two screws that hold the third brake light in place. They are located on the inside of the lift gate, near the top of the light.
3. Remove the two screws with a Phillips head screwdriver.
4. Pull the third brake light straight out of the lift gate.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the back of the third brake light.
6. Install the new third brake light by inserting it into the lift gate and aligning the mounting holes with the screws.
7. Insert the two screws and tighten them with a Phillips head screwdriver.
8. Reconnect the electrical connector to the back of the third brake light.
9. Close the lift gate.
