2. Inspect the brake pads. If the brake pads are worn down, the brake light will illuminate on the dash. Replace the brake pads if necessary.
3. Check the brake rotor. If the brake rotor is warped or damaged, the brake light will illuminate on the dash. Resurface or replace the brake rotor if necessary.
4. Check the brake light switch. If the brake light switch is faulty, the brake light will illuminate on the dash. Replace the brake light switch if necessary.
If you have checked all of these things and the brake light is still on, you should take your car to a mechanic to have it diagnosed.
