The EGR valve in the 1988 Bronco II with a 2.9L engine is located on the passenger's side of the intake manifold, just below the throttle body. It is a round, black valve with a vacuum line attached to it. The valve can be removed by unbolting it from the intake manifold and disconnecting the vacuum line.
