How do you reset engine management lights on a Renault?

Method 1: Disconnect the Battery

1. Turn off the ignition.

2. Open the hood.

3. Locate the negative battery terminal (usually marked with a minus sign).

4. Disconnect the negative battery terminal by loosening the nut or bolt that holds it in place.

5. Wait at least 30 minutes.

6. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.

7. Turn on the ignition.

Method 2: Use a Scan Tool

1. Connect the scan tool to the vehicle's diagnostic port.

2. Turn on the scan tool.

3. Select the function to clear trouble codes.

4. Follow the prompts on the scan tool to clear the codes.

Note: If the engine management light comes on again after it has been reset, there may be a problem with the vehicle that needs to be repaired. It is recommended that you have the vehicle diagnosed by a qualified mechanic if the engine management light comes on again.
