What type of oil you should use for power steering 2007 dodge sprinter?

Power Steering Fluid

The power steering fluid in a 2007 Dodge Sprinter should meet the requirements of Mopar ATF+4® Automatic Transmission Fluid. This fluid is specifically designed for use in power steering systems and provides the necessary lubrication and protection for the system's components.

Checking the Power Steering Fluid Level

The power steering fluid level should be checked regularly to ensure that the system is properly filled. To check the fluid level, follow these steps:

1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.

2. Open the hood and locate the power steering fluid reservoir. The reservoir is usually located on the driver's side of the engine compartment.

3. Remove the cap from the reservoir and check the fluid level. The fluid level should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks on the reservoir.

4. If the fluid level is low, add Mopar ATF+4® Automatic Transmission Fluid until the fluid level reaches the "MAX" mark.

Changing the Power Steering Fluid

The power steering fluid should be changed every 30,000 miles or every 3 years, whichever comes first. To change the power steering fluid, follow these steps:

1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.

2. Open the hood and locate the power steering fluid reservoir. The reservoir is usually located on the driver's side of the engine compartment.

3. Remove the cap from the reservoir and use a turkey baster to remove as much of the old fluid as possible.

4. Add new Mopar ATF+4® Automatic Transmission Fluid to the reservoir until the fluid level reaches the "MAX" mark.

5. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Turn the steering wheel from lock to lock several times to circulate the new fluid through the system.

6. Check the power steering fluid level again and add more fluid if necessary.
