The vehicle speed sensor (VSS) on a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee is located on the transmission tailshaft housing, near the rear of the transmission. It is a small, cylindrical-shaped sensor with a single wire connector. To access the VSS, you will need to crawl under the vehicle and locate the transmission. The VSS will be located on the driver's side of the transmission, near the rear. Once you have located the VSS, you can disconnect the wire connector and remove the sensor by turning it counterclockwise.
