1. Make sure that the vehicle is turned off.
2. Locate the diagnostic connector under the dashboard, usually near the steering column.
3. Insert a jumper wire into the terminals A and B of the diagnostic connector.
4. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position.
5. Leave the key in the "ON" position and count to 10.
6. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.
7. Disconnect the jumper wire from the diagnostic connector.
8. Start the engine.
The service engine light should now be reset. If the light does not reset or comes back on, you will need to have the vehicle diagnosed by a qualified mechanic.
