How do you replace L turn signal reflector bulb on a 2000 Mercedes S 430?

Tools/Materials:

- Phillips Head Screwdriver

- Replacement Bulb (12 V 21 W Bulb BAY15D Socket)

- Shop Towel

Instructions:

_Removal_

1.) Park your Mercedes-Benz S 430 in a safe and well-lit area, turn off the engine, and engage the parking brake.

2.) Open the hood of your S 430 by pulling the hood release lever located inside the driver’s footwell. Then, support the hood open using the provided prop rod.

3.) Locate the L turn signal reflector bulb assembly on the front corner of the vehicle. It’s the clear or amber-colored plastic piece with a light bulb inside it.

4.) Use the Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws holding the turn signal reflector bulb assembly in place. There will be two or three screws, depending on the model year of your S 430.

5.) Once the screws are removed, carefully pry the turn signal reflector assembly out of its housing. Be careful not to drop the bulb.

6.) Remove the old bulb from the assembly by twisting it counterclockwise.

_Installation_

1.) Take your new turn indicator light and ensure it is compatible with your vehicle. Compare it with the old one you removed.

2.) Insert the new bulb into the assembly by twisting it clockwise until it is secure.

3.) Reinstall the turn signal reflector assembly by inserting it into its housing and securing it with the screws you removed earlier.

4.) Test the new bulb by turning on the turn signal and hazard lights. Make sure that it is working properly.

5.) Close the hood of your S 430 and dispose of the old bulb responsibly.
