The right front upper control arm on most production vehicles is where the anti-roll bar (also called a stabilizer or sway bar) is connected. The bolts serve as the connection point for the anti-roll bar links. These are the components that restrict up and down movement for the stabilizer. The attachment point is on the upper control arm because the front lower control arms will be required to move up and down during the wheel's rotation.
Some vehicles may have the attachment points on the lower control arms using the same bolt pattern as a suspension component. Depending on the vehicle's design, the connection point may be shared with the upper or lower strut mount attachment points.
