1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
This will prevent any electrical shock while you are working.
2. Locate the ignition modulator.
It is usually mounted on the firewall near the distributor.
3. Remove the old ignition modulator.
Use a wrench to loosen the bolts that hold it in place. Then, disconnect the electrical connectors.
4. Install the new ignition modulator.
Position the new ignition modulator in place and secure it with the bolts you removed earlier. Then, reconnect the electrical connectors.
5. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
Start the engine and test the ignition system.
