The red gearbox warning indicator illuminates with the ignition switch in the ON position. If it fails to illuminate, please refer to the Instrument Panel Lights section in this chapter.
The gearbox warning indicator illuminates, together with an audible warning, if the transmission:
- Overheats
- There is a pressure loss
- There is an electrical problem
- Overrev is experienced
Stop the vehicle immediately and correct the cause of the problem if safe to do so. If not, call for assistance.
