Preparation

1. Gather the necessary tools and parts, including a new intake manifold gasket, gasket sealant, a set of wrenches, a ratchet, and a socket set.

2. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.

3. Drain the coolant from the radiator.

Removal of Intake Manifold

4. Remove any accessories blocking access to the intake manifold, such as the air cleaner assembly, throttle linkage, and vacuum lines.

5. Disconnect the fuel injector harness and the ignition coil wires.

6. Loosen the bolts holding the intake manifold to the cylinder heads using the wrenches and socket set.

7. Remove the intake manifold by carefully lifting it off the cylinder heads.

8. Clean the surfaces of the cylinder heads and intake manifold where the gasket will be placed.

Installation of New Gasket

9. Apply gasket sealant to the surfaces of the cylinder heads and intake manifold.
