* New fuel pump
* Fuel pump mounting gasket
* Fuel line wrench
* Flat-head screwdriver
* Phillips-head screwdriver
* Socket wrench set
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the rear seat by removing the four bolts that hold it in place.
3. Locate the fuel pump access panel on the top of the fuel tank. It is usually a circular metal plate with four screws holding it in place.
4. Remove the screws and lift the access panel off the fuel tank.
5. Locate the fuel pump. It is a cylindrical metal object located inside the fuel tank.
6. Disconnect the fuel line from the fuel pump. Use the fuel line wrench to loosen the fuel line fitting and pull the fuel line off the fuel pump.
7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fuel pump. Use the flat-head screwdriver to pry open the connector and pull it off the fuel pump.
8. Remove the bolts that hold the fuel pump in place. There are usually four or six bolts holding the fuel pump in place. Use the socket wrench set to loosen the bolts.
9. Lift the fuel pump out of the fuel tank.
10. Place the new fuel pump into the fuel tank.
11. Reinstall the bolts that hold the fuel pump in place.
12. Reinstall the electrical connector to the fuel pump.
13. Reinstall the fuel line to the fuel pump.
14. Reinstall the access panel to the fuel tank.
15. Reinstall the rear seat.
16. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
