- Positioned at engine front below upper timing belt cover.
- Mounted into end of exhaust camshaft housing, above water pump.
Removal Tips:
- Disconnect negative battery cable before beginning.
- Remove engine covers for best access.
- Use small pry tool to release sensor's electrical connector.
- Unbolt and remove sensor itself with metric socket wrench.
Installation Tips:
- Apply some clean engine oil to o-ring seal of replacement CMP sensor.
- Tighten mounting bolt securely but do not over tighten.
- Reinstall electrical connector and reconnect battery cable.
- Verify proper installation before starting engine.
