Shut off change oil light on grand am?

To reset the oil change light on a Pontiac Grand Am:

1. Turn the ignition key to the "On" position, but do not start the engine.

2. Press and hold the "Trip" button on the instrument cluster for at least 5 seconds.

3. The oil change light will then turn off.

If the oil change light does not turn off, you may need to have the oil changed.
