1. Turn off the engine and ensure it is cool to the touch.
2. Open the hood of your vehicle.
3. Locate the engine block on the driver's side of the vehicle.
4. Follow the oil pressure line from the top of the engine until you find the oil pressure sending unit. It will be a small round or cylindrical device with a single wire connected to it.
5. The oil pressure sending unit is generally located near the oil filter, close to the rear of the engine.
