2. Relieve the fuel pressure
3. Disconnect the battery cables to avoid any electrical sparks
4. Locate the fuel filter in the engine compartment It's usually near the engine next to the fuel lines
5. Loosen the fuel line clamps near the filter. Note: Fuel may leak out due to the fuel pressure; wear eye protection
6. Replace the old filter with a new one. Make sure the new filter flows in the same direction as the old one.
7. Tighten the fuel line clamps that you loosened in Step 5
8. Reconnect the battery cables
9. Turn on the engine. Check for any leaks.
