1. Park the car on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
2. Locate the oil drain plug on the bottom of the gearbox. It's usually a 17mm hex head bolt.
3. Place an oil pan under the oil drain plug to catch the old oil.
4. Loosen the oil drain plug and let the old oil drain out into the pan.
5. Once the old oil has drained out, replace the oil drain plug and tighten it securely.
6. Locate the oil fill plug on the top of the gearbox. It's usually a 17mm hex head bolt.
7. Remove the oil fill plug and add new oil to the gearbox using a funnel.
8. The gearbox takes approximately 1.7 litres of oil.
9. Once you've added the new oil, replace the oil fill plug and tighten it securely.
10. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
11. Check the oil level again to make sure it's correct.
12. That's it! You've successfully changed the gearbox oil on your Ford Fusion 1.4 TDCi.
