- A garden hose
- A 5-gallon bucket
- Some old rags
- A funnel
- A 50/50 mixture of antifreeze and water
- A pressure washer (optional)
Instructions:
1. Park your Ford 5.0 Mustang in a level spot and turn off the engine.
2. Allow the engine to cool down completely.
3. Open the hood and remove the radiator cap.
4. Insert the end of the garden hose into the radiator filler neck and turn on the water.
5. Allow the water to flush the engine block until the water runs clear.
6. Turn off the water and remove the garden hose.
7. Replace the radiator cap.
8. Fill the expansion tank with the 50/50 mixture of antifreeze and water.
9. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
10. Check the coolant level and add more if necessary.
Tips:
- If you have a pressure washer, you can use it to flush the engine block more effectively.
- Be sure to use a 50/50 mixture of antifreeze and water. Antifreeze helps to protect the engine from freezing and corrosion.
- Flushing the engine block is a good way to prevent overheating and other engine problems.
