Locate the ignition cylinder: It is located on the dashboard of the car, usually below the steering wheel.
Remove any panels or trim covering the ignition cylinder: There may be a plastic cover or panel covering the ignition cylinder. Use a screwdriver or trim removal tool to remove these panels.
Locate the release lever: The release lever is usually a small, plastic lever that is located near the ignition cylinder. Use a screwdriver or trim removal tool to press down on the release lever.
Pull out the ignition cylinder: Once the release lever is pressed down, you should be able to pull out the ignition cylinder from the dashboard. Be careful not to drop the ignition cylinder.
Disconnect the electrical connectors: There may be one or more electrical connectors attached to the ignition cylinder. Disconnect these connectors by pressing down on the release tabs and pulling them apart.
Remove the retaining screws: There may be one or more retaining screws that hold the ignition cylinder in place. Remove these screws using a screwdriver.
Once all of the screws have been removed, you should be able to remove the ignition cylinder from the car.
