What is the gear shift pattern in a nine speed semi truck?

The most common gear shift pattern for a nine-speed semi truck is the "H" pattern. This pattern is set up in a grid of three columns and three rows, with "R" for reverse at the top left corner and "1" for first gear at the bottom right. The remaining slots are filled in with the other gear numbers, with "4", "5", and "6" in a horizontal line in the middle of the grid.

* 1: First gear

* 2: Second gear

* 3: Third gear

* 4: Fourth gear

* 5: Fifth gear

* 6: Sixth gear

* 7: Seventh gear

* 8: Eighth gear

* 9: Ninth gear

* R: Reverse gear

To select the desired gear, the driver pushes the gear shift lever in the direction of the gear. For example, to select second gear, the driver pushes the gear shift lever to the left and up. To select eighth gear, the driver pulls the gear shift lever down and to the right.
