Does hydrogen use a fuel cell?

Hydrogen does use fuel cell technology to generate electricity. Fuel cells are electrochemical devices that convert the chemical energy of a fuel directly into electrical energy. In a hydrogen fuel cell, hydrogen gas is combined with oxygen from the air to produce water and generate electricity. The reaction takes place at the anode and cathode of the fuel cell, separated by an electrolyte membrane that allows hydrogen ions (protons) to pass through. The overall reaction is:

2H₂ + O₂ → 2H₂O + electrical energy

Hydrogen fuel cells are efficient, environmentally friendly, and quiet, making them a promising technology for powering various applications, including vehicles, portable devices, and stationary power systems.
