Instructions:
1. Disconnect the battery. This is important to do to avoid any electrical accidents.
2. Raise the vehicle and support it with jack stands. This will give you the space you need to work underneath the vehicle.
3. Locate the starter motor. It is usually located on the driver's side of the engine, near the bottom.
4. Disconnect the electrical connections to the starter motor. There will be two or three electrical connections that need to be disconnected.
5. Remove the bolts that hold the starter motor in place. There are usually two or three bolts that hold the starter motor in place.
6. Remove the starter motor from the vehicle. Once the bolts are removed, you should be able to pull the starter motor straight out of the vehicle.
7. Install the new starter motor. Reverse the steps above to install the new starter motor.
8. Reconnect the battery. Once the new starter motor is installed, you can reconnect the battery.
9. Test the starter motor. Start the vehicle and make sure that the starter motor is working properly.
Here are some additional tips for changing a starter motor:
- Be careful not to drop the starter motor. It is a heavy object and could damage your foot or other body parts if it falls on you.
- Make sure that you use the correct tools for the job. The wrong tools could damage the starter motor or other parts of your vehicle.
