Tools:
* Metric socket set
* Wrench set
* Pliers
* Screwdriver
* Coolant drain pan
* Funnel
* Jack and jack stands
Parts:
* Water pump
* Coolant
Instructions:
1. Park your car on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Allow the engine to cool down.
3. Place the jack and jack stands under the car and raise the car until the front wheels are off the ground.
4. Open the hood of the car.
5. Locate the water pump. It is located on the front of the engine, just below the thermostat housing.
6. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
7. Drain the coolant from the cooling system.
8. Remove the bolts that hold the water pump in place.
9. Remove the water pump from the engine.
10. Clean the mating surfaces of the water pump and the engine.
11. Install the new water pump.
12. Tighten the bolts that hold the water pump in place.
13. Refill the cooling system with coolant.
14. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
15. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes until the thermostat opens.
16. Check for leaks.
17. Lower the car.
Tips:
* Be careful not to drop any bolts into the engine.
* Be careful not to spill any coolant on the paint of your car.
* If you are not comfortable doing this repair yourself, you can take your car to a mechanic.
