1. Park another car close to your CLS, with its battery within reach of jumper cables. Make sure the other car's engine is off.
2. Open the hoods of both cars.
3. Locate the positive and negative terminals on both batteries. The positive terminal is usually marked with a "+" symbol, while the negative terminal is marked with a "-" symbol.
4. Connect one end of the positive jumper cable to the positive terminal of the dead battery.
5. Connect the other end of the positive jumper cable to the positive terminal of the working battery.
6. Connect one end of the negative jumper cable to the negative terminal of the working battery.
7. Connect the other end of the negative jumper cable to an unpainted metal surface on the frame of the dead car, not near the battery.
8. Start the working car and let it run for a few minutes.
9. Try to start your CLS. If it starts, keep it running for a few minutes to charge the battery.
10. Remove the jumper cables in the reverse order that you connected them.
Here are some additional tips for jump starting a Mercedes CLS:
* Make sure the jumper cables are properly connected. A loose connection can prevent the battery from charging.
* Do not let the jumper cables touch each other. This could create a spark and cause an explosion.
* If the CLS does not start after a few minutes, stop trying and let the battery charge for longer.
* If the CLS still does not start, there may be another problem with the car. You should take it to a mechanic for diagnosis and repair.
