1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Remove the serpentine belt.
3. Remove the upper alternator bolt.
4. Remove the lower alternator bolt (from underneath the car).
5. Gently pry the alternator out of place.
6. Disconnect the electrical connections to the alternator.
7. Remove the alternator from the engine bay.
Here are some additional tips that may be helpful:
* You may need to use a breaker bar to loosen the upper and lower alternator bolts.
* Be careful not to drop the alternator when you are removing it from the engine bay.
* If the alternator is seized, you may need to use a penetrating oil to loosen it up.
* Make sure that you have all of the necessary tools and parts before you begin this repair.
Once you have removed the old alternator, you can install the new one in reverse order.
