* 10mm wrench
* 13mm wrench
* Flat-head screwdriver
Here are the steps on how to adjust the belt tensioner:
1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Locate the belt tensioner. It is located on the front of the engine, near the top.
3. Loosen the 10mm bolt that holds the tensioner in place.
4. Use the flat-head screwdriver to pry the tensioner away from the belt.
5. Insert the 13mm wrench into the tensioner and turn it clockwise to increase the tension.
6. Turn the tensioner counterclockwise to decrease the tension.
7. Tighten the 10mm bolt to secure the tensioner in place.
8. Start the engine and check the belt tension. The belt should be snug, but not too tight.
Here are some additional tips for adjusting the belt tensioner:
* If the belt is too loose, it will slip and make noise.
* If the belt is too tight, it can damage the tensioner and other engine components.
* The belt tension should be checked every 10,000 miles or so.
