1. Park your Laguna on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
2. Open the hood and locate the alternator. It is usually mounted on the front of the engine, near the top.
3. Loosen the tensioner pulley bolt. This will release the tension on the alternator belt.
4. Remove the old alternator belt from the pulleys.
5. Place the new alternator belt around the pulleys. Make sure that it is routed correctly, according to the diagram in your Laguna's owner's manual.
6. Tighten the tensioner pulley bolt until the belt is taut.
7. Start your Laguna and let it run for a few minutes. Check to make sure that the alternator belt is running properly and not slipping.
8. If the belt is slipping, tighten the tensioner pulley bolt a little more.
9. Close the hood and you're done!
Here are some additional tips for fitting the alternator belt:
- Use a wrench to loosen and tighten the tensioner pulley bolt.
- Be careful not to overtighten the tensioner pulley bolt, as this could damage the belt.
- If you are unsure about how to fit the alternator belt, consult your Laguna's owner's manual or a qualified mechanic.
