* A 10mm socket wrench
* A flat-head screwdriver
* A pair of pliers
* A new thermostat
Instructions
1. Locate the thermostat housing. It is located on the front of the engine, near the top.
2. Disconnect the coolant hose from the thermostat housing.
3. Remove the two 10mm bolts that hold the thermostat housing in place.
4. Remove the old thermostat from the housing.
5. Clean the thermostat housing and gasket surface.
6. Install the new thermostat, making sure that it is seated properly.
7. Replace the gasket and the two 10mm bolts.
8. Connect the coolant hose to the thermostat housing.
9. Refill the coolant system.
Tips
* Be careful not to spill any coolant.
* Make sure that the thermostat is installed correctly. If it is not installed correctly, it can cause the engine to overheat.
* Refill the coolant system slowly to avoid air pockets.
