2nd-4th characters (Vehicle Descriptor Section)
This section provides information about the vehicle type and model. The first character represents the type of vehicle, while the second and third characters represent the model code.
Types of vehicles:
* A - Passenger car
* B - Bus
* C - Truck
* D - Bus/Truck, over 10,000 lbs.
* F - Truck tractor
* G - Truck over 10,000 lbs., 6 or fewer wheels
* H - Truck tractor, over 10,000 lbs.
* K - Bus
* L - Motorcycle/scooter
* M - Passenger vehicle
* P - Passenger car
* S - Semi-trailer

5th character (Check Digit)
The check digit is used to verify the accuracy of the VIN. It is calculated using a formula that takes into account the other characters in the VIN.
