- Tools
1. Disconnect the battery (if it has one).
2. Connect DC Battery. Remove the side covers and install under the seat in the battery tray if equipped or find an appropriate location.
- Connect cables to battery.
- Positive (+) battery terminal to positive (+) DC terminal.
- Negative (-) battery terminal to negative (-) DC terminal.
3. Connect the AC Rectifier.
- Locate rectifier mount holes on chassis.
- Mount the rectifier with two 6mm bolts and washers.
- Connect wiring harness according to label.
4. Install the headlight.
- Insert the new headlight assembly into the headlight mask and secure it with any supplied hardware.
- If the new headlight is smaller, there may be some space around it. If this is the case, you may want to use a little bit of foam to fill in the gap and prevent the headlight from moving around too much.
5. Connect the wiring.
- Connect the wires from the headlight to the wires from the battery according to the wiring diagram for the bike.
6. Install a switch.
- Find an appropriate location for the switch, such as on the handlebars or near the headlight.
- Connect the wires from the switch to the wires from the battery according to the wiring diagram for the bike.
7. Test the new headlight.
- Ensure the bike's engine is running so the battery has power.
- Turn on the headlight switch and check that the headlight is working properly.
You can also connect all lighting with a toggle switch to quickly turn the lights on or off.
