* Driver's side dashboard: Look through the lower part of the windshield on the driver's side. The VIN is usually visible from outside the vehicle.
* Driver's side doorjamb: This is a common secondary location for the VIN. It's stamped on the edge of the door frame.
* Vehicle identification plate: This plate is usually located on the driver's side doorjamb near the VIN stamped into the door frame. It may also list other vehicle information.
* Title and registration: Your vehicle's title and registration documents will also list the VIN.
While the dashboard is the most common and easily accessible location, check the other places if you can't find it there.
