How tall do you have to be ride in the passenger seat a car?

There's no legal minimum height to ride in the passenger seat of a car. The requirement is that you're able to safely wear a seatbelt and have sufficient control to not interfere with the driver. A very young child would be too small to do this safely, but there's no specific height restriction.
